New USDA Study Supports Beef in a Healthy, Sustainable Diet

Harris Ranch Beef Company has a personal stake in the quality of the environment. That’s why we proudly share the results of a study published recently in the journal Agricultural Systems entitled Environmental Footprints of Beef Cattle Production in the United States.

The report documents the most comprehensive beef cattle lifecycle assessment ever completed. With research conducted by the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service and The Beef Checkoff, the assessment was designed to scientifically quantify the sustainability of U.S. beef production. The results show widely accepted measures related to beef cattle’s impact in the U.S. are often overestimated.

Local Certified Angus Beef® Now Available to California Chefs Through Harris Ranch Beef

For the first time, chefs and restaurants on the West Coast can offer locally produced Certified Angus Beef®. The brand is now proudly offered by Harris Ranch, a family-owned company with a 50-year history of farming and ranching in California’s fertile Central Valley. Attendees of the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo in Los Angeles will be able to taste Certified Angus Beef from Harris Ranch at booth 1907 from August 27-29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Harris Ranch’s Beef to Go is a Must-Stop for Summer Holiday Road Trips

This summer California travelers may pick up Beef to Go at Harris Ranch, and be ready to grill the ultimate barbecue at their destination.  On all major holiday weekends throughout the summer, the Harris Ranch Country Store, located inside the Harris Ranch Inn & Restaurant complex, will offer a special deal on specific cuts of beef for the grill.  For the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, two 14 oz. USDA choice Harris Ranch Ribeye steaks will cost just $20.

Food Fashion Prediction: Coulottes are in for Spring!
